Privacy policy
The game has no account and no sign-in. Your lives stay on your device. The game has no ads and no analytics tool. It does not read your location. We do not sell data. The game itself collects no personal data. The website keeps an email address only if you leave one on the Android waitlist.
Who we are
Sapa: Naija Survival Simulator ("Sapa", "the game") is a single-player text game for Android and iOS. Joshua Aideloje, an individual developer in Nigeria, publishes the game. In this policy, "we" means the publisher and "you" means the player.
What stays on your device
The game keeps these things on your device only. They do not go to us or to another company.
- Each life that you play: the name that you type, the choices that you make and the result.
- Your ribbons, your stamps and your past lives.
- The settings of the game.
A life has a state of birth and a home with a church or a mosque. They belong to the person of the game. They do not describe you, and they stay on your device.
If you remove the game, your lives go with it. We have no copy.
In a web version of the game, the lives stay in the storage of your browser. A web version has no purchase and no purchase service.
What leaves your device, and why
| What | When | Who gets it | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| The update check: the version of the app, the platform and a random ID of the installation. | When the app starts. | Expo, the update service. | To deliver new content and fixes. |
| The check of the Odogwu tier: a random ID that the purchase software makes on your device. | When the app starts, in the iPhone version from the App Store. The Android version has no purchase software and sends no such request. | RevenueCat, the purchase service. | To know if this installation has the Odogwu tier. |
| The record of a purchase: the product, the dates and the state of a subscription, with the same random ID. | When you buy Odogwu or restore a purchase. | RevenueCat. The App Store handles the payment. | To open the Odogwu tier for you, and to count purchases. |
| Your email address and the date, if you join the Android waitlist on the website. | When you send the waitlist form. | Cloudflare, which hosts the website and its storage. | To tell you one time that the Android version is ready. |
| Your emails to us. | When you write to us. | We get them. | To answer you. |
Each request uses HTTPS. As with each internet request, the company that gets it can see the internet address of your connection.
We never see your card details. The store handles the payment. We have no name and no email address of a player, unless you write to us or you join the waitlist on the website.
What the game does not collect
- The game has no account, so it has no name, no email address and no password of yours. (The website keeps an email address only if you join the waitlist. See "The waitlist" below.)
- The game does not read the location of your device.
- The game does not read your contacts, your photos, your camera or your microphone.
- The game does not use an advertising ID.
- The game has no ads, no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK.
- The game does not send your lives or your choices to anybody.
Who gets data
- The update service. Expo delivers new content and fixes to the app. It gets the update check.
- The purchase service. RevenueCat tells the game if an installation has the Odogwu tier. It gets the random ID and the record of a purchase.
- The app stores. Google Play and the App Store deliver the app. The App Store handles each payment. Their own policies apply to what they collect.
- No other company gets data from the game. We do not sell data.
These companies work for us or for you as a customer of the store. They can process data in other countries than Nigeria.
The waitlist
If you leave your email on the website, we keep the address and the date in a storage of Cloudflare. We use it only to tell you one time that the Android version is ready. We share it with nobody. You can ask us to delete it at the support address that this page shows: aidelojejoshua@gmail.com.
When you share
The Share button makes an image of the life of your game person. It has the name that you typed, the years, some lines of the life and the ribbon. You decide where the image goes. We do not get it.
How long data stays
The data on your device stays until you delete it. A waitlist address stays until we send the one message, or until you ask us to delete it. The update service and the purchase service keep their records under their own rules. We ask the purchase service to delete a record when you ask us.
How to delete your data
- Remove the game from your device. That deletes each life, each ribbon and each setting.
- You can also use the button "Delete all lives on this device" on the About screen.
- To delete the record of a purchase at the purchase service, write to us. The deletion page gives the steps.
Age
Sapa is for players of 16 and older. It is not for children. We do not knowingly collect data from a child. If you think that a child gave us data, write to us. We then delete it.
Your rights
You can ask what data we have about you. You can ask us to correct it. You can ask us to delete it. You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country. Write to us to use these rights.
Changes to this policy
We can change this policy when the game changes. We put the new date at the top of this page.
